Flyng is built by Precode Limited ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What Flyng Does
Flyng receives files from Android devices using the Quick Share protocol. All file transfers happen directly between your Android device and your Mac over your local network. Your files never pass through our servers. We cannot see, access, or store the content of any files you transfer.
Data We Collect
When you purchase Flyng Pro:
- Email address — Used to deliver your license key and for license recovery
- Payment information — Processed securely by Stripe; we never see your card details
- License key — A unique identifier tied to your purchase
When you use the website:
- Analytics data — Page views, button clicks, and feature usage (anonymised)
- Device information — Browser type, operating system, screen size
When you use the app:
- No data is collected — Flyng works entirely offline
- Your license key is stored locally in your Mac's Keychain
- Transfer history is stored locally on your Mac only
How We Use Your Data
- License delivery — To send your activation link and license key
- License recovery — To help you recover your license if you lose it
- Product improvement — To understand how people use our website and improve the experience
- Customer support — To respond to your questions or issues
Third-Party Services
We use the following services to operate Flyng:
- Stripe — Payment processing (Privacy Policy)
- Resend — Transactional emails (Privacy Policy)
- PostHog — Website analytics (Privacy Policy)
- Vercel — Website hosting (Privacy Policy)
Data Retention
- Purchase records — Retained indefinitely for license verification and accounting
- Analytics data — Retained for 2 years, then automatically deleted
- Support correspondence — Retained for 2 years after last contact
